The Million Mile Half Marathon is a premier virtual running event that unites athletes across the globe in a shared race experience focused on making a meaningful impact in the fight against childhood cancer. Cancer is diagnosed each year in about 175,000 children ages 14 and under worldwide, and is the leading cause of death by disease past infancy for U.S. children.
The MMHM is organized by The San Diego Half Marathon, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been operating premier races in California since 2012. The SDHM organization is dedicated to promoting initiatives and causes that catalyze volunteerism and charitable giving as a way to transform lives while providing premier, exceptionally-managed running events that leverage and celebrate the unique qualities of our communities.
MMHM is open to runners, challenged athletes, and walkers of all ages and sizes in every country around the world. Our vision is to see a global community participate in an activity that is accessible to everyone to benefit the fight against a disease that can affect anyone.
